Discussion “Relying on the past or responsibility for the present?” hosted by Mikhail Chekhov Riga Russian Theatre as part of the discussion series “Bez punkta uz i = Without a dot on the i”. It continues the themes raised in the play “The Cherry Orchard” (directed by Viesturs Kairišs) about cultural heritage, identity and choices in contemporary society. The discussion is organized in collaboration with the national research program “Vectors of Societal Cohesion,” which is being implemented by a consortium of researchers led by the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology at the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Latvia. The discussion is moderated by Anete Ašmane-Vilsone, with the participation of Agnese Lāce, Dace Dzenovska, Gļebs Panteļejevs and Ilmārs Šlāpins.
